Tokyo Dawn Records
~ Label
Annotation
Founded around 1996 and originating in the pre-internet music tracking scene, Tokyo Dawn Records (TDR) was one of the first "tracking groups" making the next step of becoming a "netlabel". Stylistically it was covering the whole range of "black" electronic music and beyond, from house and drum'n'bass to soul and hiphop. The main man behind it was Prymer, a prolific musician and organizer with PC demoscene roots. After bringing out a numerous and appraised output over the past decade, and being home to artists like Krii, Saine, Mentz, Comfort Fit and Blaktroniks. TDR was declared dead in 2006 and relaunched 2008.
